Work on the Barn refurbishment is nearing completion.  Facilities Manager, Scott and his team have done an outstanding job in their delivery and within budget.  The sympathetic refurbishment has seen:

  • The entrance opened out, allowing much greater accessibility
  • Slip resistant, hygienic floors throughout
  • New stair lift
  • New lighting throughout
  • New furniture
  • Large storage space
  • A fantastic new user-friendly kitchen with a versatile island
  • Refurbished cloakrooms designed for accessibility
  • Velux windows upstairs allowing natural light to flood in
  • Replacement windows in keeping with the Barn
  • Upstairs disabled toilet
  • Horizontal radiators being replaced with upright radiators to provide more space
  • Sympathetic painting and decoratin throughout

Our coffee shop is open in the Barn every Wednesday from 10am - 12 noon.  Do please come and see for yourself the wonderful difference the refurbishment has made.  Our students and session leaders are delighted.

On Wednesday 26th September, we held our Harvest Celebration.

After a delicious lunch we joined together in the hall to watch performances by the dance, music and gardening groups. There were also readings and prayers by some of our people. Many items of food were kindly donated, which we took to our local food bank.

The gardening group grew watercress to read 'Harvest' for the celebration.  Please click here to the pictures on our Facebook page.

Our Golf Day Fundraiser at Knole Park Golf Club

We are very pleased to say that over £6,000 was raised at our Golf Day fundraiser!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day and Fidelity and Gulliver Timber Treatments for their corporate sponsorship.

It was a fantastic day, kindly organised by Scotts volunteer fundraisers, Friends of Scotts, pictured below.

Thank you to Knole Park Golf Club, all our players, sponsors, raffle prize donors, flower arranger, our people at Scotts for joining us to offer the cakes they made for refreshments and to help sell the creative Christmas cards they designed.

It was a fantastic day, organised by Friends of Scotts. Thank you very much!

We look forward to updating you with the amount raised from the day, early next week, when we will also list our kind sponsors and raffle prize donors. In the meantime, enjoy some pictures from the day by clicking through to our Facebook page.

Local support from Fidelity International has been amazing and we want to say a huge thank you!  Over this last year, we have had groups of volunteers from Fidelity to help with work on our patio, garden, shed and stage, all of which have been very much appreciated.

Recently we have heard the fabulous news from Fidelity, that we have been awarded a small grant to buy three PC's and a joystick for our new computer room, giving our people the right tools for the job to learn with.  We have also enjoyed spending time at Fidelity selling raffle tickets and appreciate the support given for our fundraisers, such as our Fete and charity golf day we are holding in September this year.
