Exploring a weekend day service offer for people with a learning disability

Scotts supports adults with a learning disability to strive to reach their aspirations and make choices about how to live their lives through three interlinked services:

• St Peter’s Row, our residential care home near Tonbridge, Kent.

• Our two local supported living houses - Oaks and Willows - each housing four people and with a flat for one person.

• Our on-site Day Services, which runs wellbeing courses designed to develop life-skills and confidence.

Currently, we provide wellbeing day service sessions weekly on our site, from Monday to Friday, in a modern, fully accessible hall and barn with a ‘Changing Rooms’ facility. Please see our website for pictures of our setting, the facilities and our sessions:

Whilst day sessions at Scotts are not currently provided at the weekend, we are exploring if there is a need for a weekend offer in the community for people with a learning disability. To start investigating this, Nexus and Oakley College have kindly offered to send out this short questionnaire for us and we will be grateful for your feedback.
